The Independent Decision-making Body

The Independent Decision-making Body (IDB) makes decisions about cases passed to the Investigations and Enforcement Department for investigation that may require disciplinary action.

Our Race Equality Taskforce was formed in June 2019. The Chair of the Taskforce is the BSB Head of Equality and Access to Justice.

Our Disability Taskforce was formed in July 2021. The Chair of the Taskforce is Diane Lightfoot who is also the CEO of the Business Disability Forum and the Vice Chair is Mark Neale, Director General of the BSB.
