The Guidelines set out the information and documents required for our Public Access exemption applications and the criteria we use to assess these applications.

Application for individuals seeking exemption from the public access training requirement (rC120.1) and/or the public access qualified person requirement (rC121).

Application process

  • Please email your application form and supporting documents to [email protected]. If you are unable to submit your application by email, please contact us for further guidance.
  • You must provide all necessary supporting evidence in support of an application, as listed in the application guidelines. We may request further information or documents if needed in order to process your application. Please respond to any request for further information or documents within two weeks.
  • An application will normally be processed within six to eight weeks once it is complete (ie all required evidence and fees are received). Our Service Update page includes the latest guidance on our application processing times.

Reviews

If you are unhappy with a decision made by the Authorisations Team you may request a review by the Independent Decision-making Body. Applications for review must be made within one month of the decision. All review requests are dealt with by an IDB Panel on paper only.
