The Bar Standards Board (BSB) is seeking applications from chambers or other authorised organisations specialising in regulatory and disciplinary law for our new Tribunal Representation Panel (TRP), which will start operating from 1 January 2020. Those appointed to the TRP will be responsible for providing counsel to represent the BSB at the Bar's independent disciplinary tribunals and at a range of other hearings associated with our enforcement processes.

The BSB is looking for chambers or other regulated organisations with a strong and demonstrable track record of representing regulators in disciplinary cases. The successful organisations should be able to offer counsel across a range of seniorities and also be able to demonstrate experience in public law as it relates to professional disciplinary processes.

BSB Director of Legal and Enforcement, Sara Jagger, said:

"The establishment of a new panel to provide us with ready access to paid legal representation at disciplinary tribunals and other enforcement hearings is an important development in our aim to conduct our legal and enforcement work as professionally and efficiently as possible. I look forward to hearing from those interested in working with us."

The closing date for applications is 5pm on 11 October 2019. Interviews for shortlisted applicants, will take place on 12 November 2019.

If you are interested in applying, more information on the TRP, the BSB's selection criteria and the remuneration on offer can be found in the Application Pack.
