Hassan Modjiri engaged in conduct which was discreditable to a barrister and/or brought the legal profession into disrepute in that on 28th September 2006 he was convicted by the West London Magistrates? Court of possession of a Class A controlled drug, namely 1 kilogram of cocaine on 19th September 2006 contrary to Section 5 (2) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. As a result of the conviction on 22nd November 2006 Hassan Modjiri was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
