Offence details:

Naseem Yousef, having on the 20th day of April 2004 been found guilty by the Solicitors` Disciplinary Tribunal of breaches of the Solicitors` Accounts Rules 1998, in respect of which she was reprimanded and ordered to pay costs of ?6,500, failed promptly to report this conviction to the Bar Council. Naseem Yousef engaged in conduct which was dishonest or otherwise discreditable to a barrister, in that while in practice as a solicitor she : (i) acted in breach of a condition imposed in her Practising Certificate; (ii) sought and obtained a position with a firm of solicitors without obtaining approval from the Law Society, contrary to the conditions on her Practising Certificate; (iii) failed to inform the firm of solicitors she was working for of the conditions imposed on her Practising Certificate, contrary to Rule 1 (d) of the Solicitors Practice Rules 1990; in respect of which conduct she was on the 14th day of September 2004 found guilty by the Solicitors` Disciplinary Tribunal, and was ordered to be struck off the Roll of Solicitors and to pay costs of ?2,453.28
