Offence details:

John O?Callaghan engaged in conduct, which was prejudicial to the administration of justice, contrary to paragraph 301 (a) (ii) of the Code of Conduct in that between the 27th January 2012 and 30th January 2012 he failed to pay the listing fee in relation to claim number 1BD01585 having undertaken to District Judge Goldberg that he would do so by the 30th January 2012 as a precondition to being permitted to continue with his claim.

John O?Callaghan engaged in conduct, which was prejudicial to the administration of justice, contrary to paragraph 301 (a) (ii) of the Code of Conduct in that between the 27th January 2012 and 3rd February 2012 he failed to pay the sum of ?50 to Mr C in claim number 1BD01585 having been ordered to do so by District Judge Goldberg by the 3rd February 2012 in respect of his application to reinstate his claim.

John O?Callaghan failed to respond promptly to requests for comments or information on a complaint, in that he failed to respond to letters sent to him by the Bar Standards Board dated the 18th October 2012 informing him of a formal investigation and seeking written comments in respect of the same, 16th November 2012 and 17th December 2012 both being written reminders in respect of the request of the 18th October 2012. Such behaviour was contrary to paragraph 905 (d) of the Code of Conduct and was serious and therefore constituted professional misconduct pursuant to paragraph 901.5 of the Code of Conduct by virtue of both the nature and extent of the failure.
