The Board and executive team of the Bar Standards Board (BSB) are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Lara Fielden who has been a member of the BSB Board since January 2018.
Lara’s contribution to our work has been immense. She always showed an unswerving commitment to the public interest and, in particular, to the interests of consumers who use the services of barristers. Lara was an outstanding Board member and colleague, always ready to speak her mind and to provide appropriate challenge, but always a source of support and wise counsel.
Lara will be greatly missed and we send our condolences to her family.
