Following a competitive tender process, we are pleased to announce that Blake Morgan LLP has been appointed to support our regulatory enforcement work.
Reports about barristers’ conduct have increased by over a quarter (27%) annually and in response we require additional support to help us manage fluctuations in the caseload volume of our annual investigations.
Saima Hirji, Director of Regulatory Enforcement, The Bar Standards Board said:
“Our ambition is to achieve a flexible enforcement capacity that will stabilise, strengthen and improve performance across our frontline services. Outsourcing some of our work on less complex investigations will provide greater agility in how we handle and manage capacity in casework. We are looking forward to working in partnership with Blake Morgan LLP who have a wealth of regulatory experience to support our enforcement work.”
John Lucarotti, Partner, Regulatory, Blake Morgan LLP said:
“We are delighted to be appointed as a legal provider to the Bar Standards Board and to support the effective and efficient delivery of its regulatory enforcement work. With extensive experience in legal services regulation and a team that includes a significant number of barristers, we have a deep understanding of the BSB’s role and the high standards it upholds for the profession. The BSB’s commitment to openness and integrity aligns with our own values at Blake Morgan, and we look forward to building a strong partnership focused on accountability and successful outcomes.”
