On 24 October 2023 the Bar Standards Board issued a consultation document seeking views on our proposals for the regulation of barristers in chambers with a deadline for comment of 29 February 2024. We are also holding roundtable meetings in each of the circuits in England and Wales and, in view of the high level of interest in our proposals and our eagerness to hear from as many people as possible, we have decided to extend the consultation period to 31 March.
