Past disciplinary findings

Gerard Boyd, a barrister, failed to comply in due time with a sentence imposed by a Disciplinary Tribunal on 16 April 2008 pursuant to the Disciplinary Tribunal Regulations that he pay the sum of ?1,649 to the Bar Standards Board in that he failed to pay such sum or any part thereof by 31 July 2008., contrary to paragraph 905(f) of the Code of Conduct.

Gerard Boyd failed to respond promptly to requests from the Bar Standards Board for comments or information on a complaint, in that he failed to respond to letters sent to him by the Bar Standards Board dated 4 December 2008, 19 January 2009 and 13 February 2009, such failure being so serious as to amount to professional misconduct by virtue of its nature and extent.
