Past disciplinary findings

Nicola Marshall, a barrister of the Middle Temple failed contrary to paragraph 905(b)(ii) of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (8th Edition) to report to the Bar Council that she had been convicted on 7 March 2001 at Macclesfield Magistrates Court of a relevant criminal offence within the meaning of the Code namely driving a motor vehicle with excess alcohol she failed to report the same to the Bar Council.

Nicola Marshall, a barrister of the Middle Temple failed contrary to paragraph 905(b)(ii) of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (8th Edition) to report to the Bar Council that she had been convicted on 8 June 2004 at South Cheshire Magistrates Court of relevant criminal offences within the meaning of the Code namely (i) driving a motor vehicle with excess alcohol; (ii) driving whilst disqualified; (iii) using a vehicle while uninsured.

Nicola Marshall, a barrister of the Middle temple failed contrary to paragraph 905(b)(ii) of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (8th Edition) to report to the Bar Council that she had been convicted on 20 January 2006 at Chester Ellesmere Port and Neston Magistrates Court of relevant criminal offences within the meaning of the Code namely (i) failing to stop after an accident whereby damage was caused to another vehicle and (ii) driving a mechanically propelled vehicle while unfit through drink.

Nicola Marshall, a barrister of the Middle Temple engaged in conduct which was discreditable to a barrister contrary to paragraph 301(a)(i) of the Code of Conduct of England and Wales and/or likely to bring the legal profession into disrepute contrary to paragraph 301(a)(iii) in that between 16 November 2000 and 29 March 2005 she acted in such a way as to render her liable to be convicted and between 7 March 2001 and 20 January 2006 she was convicted of 11 relevant criminal offences within the meaning of the Code and was sentenced to inter alia a fine, disqualification from driving, the endorsement of her driving licence, community rehabilitation orders, and terms of imprisonment.

Nicola Marshall, a barrister of the Middle Temple engaged in conduct which was discreditable to a barrister contrary to paragraph 301(a)(i) of the Code of Conduct of England and Wales and/or likely to bring the legal profession into disrepute contrary to paragraph 301(a)(iii) in that when by letter dated 11 April 2006 she purported to disclose to the Bar Council that she had been convicted of relevant criminal offences namely (i) driving without insurance, (ii) failing to provide a specimen, and (iii) driving while disqualified she concealed the fact that she had on the same occasion been convicted of (iv) failing to stop after an accident and (v) driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place whilst unfit to drive through drink and in respect of the latter conviction sentenced to a term of imprisonment.
