Offence details:

David Peter, a barrister, failed to act with integrity in that, in written correspondence on 28 January 2020, he stated to X, a solicitor, that “you will confirm today to Verisona that the sums are agreed and that the payment will be made in accordance with the timescale in the agreement. If this were not to be done, I would conclude that you do not intend to honour the agreement. It hardly needs saying that such a deliberately failing to honour an agreement made in good faith would be serious professional misconduct which would prompt an immediate complaint to the SRA”, being reckless as to whether there was any proper basis upon which X could be referred to the SRA.
