Breach details:
Professional misconduct pursuant to paragraph 905(d) and 901.7 and contrary to paragraph 905(f) of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (8th Edition).
Offence details:

Christopher Mills, a barrister, failed to comply in due time with a sentence imposed by a Disciplinary Tribunal on 7 December 2012 that he pay a fine of ?5000 by 7 May 2013 and a costs order of ?335 by 11 April 2013, in that he failed to pay the fine or costs order in the total sum of ?5335 or any part thereof by the date for payment contrary to paragraph 905(f) of the Code of Conduct.

Christopher Mills failed to respond promptly to requests from the Bar Standards Board for comments or information on a complaint, in that he failed to respond to letters sent to him by the Bar Standards Board dated 15 August 2013 and 30 August 2013, including formal reminders for compliance with a sentence of the Disciplinary Tribunal hearing on 7 December 2012, namely payment of a fine of ?5000 plus costs of ?335.

Such behaviour was serious and therefore constitutes professional misconduct pursuant to paragraph 901.5 of the Code of Conduct, by virtue of its nature and the previous failures to comply with the Code as set out in the previous finding of the disciplinary tribunal on 7 December 2012 namely 201 and 202(c) and combined with the failure set out at Charge 1.
