Offence details:

(1) Rabi Sukul engaged in conduct that was likely to bring the legal profession into disrepute, contrary to paragraph 301(a)(iii) of the Code of Conduct, in that on or before the 15 March 2012, he created a document entitled "application to Appeal against conviction" that was false and he knew was false with intention of misleading L, who had been his client, into believing he had grounds to appeal his conviction when he knew there were no grounds of appeal and (2) between 1 March 2012 and 19 October 2012 in proceedings before the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division), Rabi Sukul recklessly misled the court contrary to paragraph 302 of the Code of Conduct by causing, allowing or inducing the court to believe that an application for leave to appeal against conviction was a true document and that there were genuine grounds of appeal when he knew that there were no such grounds of appeal and he failed to notify the Court of Appeal of this fact.
