Amendments to Practising Certificate Rules and Code of Conduct on authorisation for carrying out immigration advice and services

At its meeting on 19 January 2012, the Board approved minor amendments to the Code of Conduct and Practising Certificate Rules in order to reflect legislative changes brought about by Schedule 18 of the Legal Services Act 2007.

Amendments to references to authorised body in the Code of Conduct and the Bar Training Regulations and an amendment to the Practising Certificate Rules

Minor amendments to references to 'authorised body' in the Code of Conduct and Bar Training Regulations and a minor amendment to the Practising Certificate Rules.

These amendments came into effect on 15^th February 2012. Read the LSB exemption direction here.

In addition, paragraph 202A of the Code of Conduct came into effect on 1^st April 2012.

Amendments to the Disciplinary Tribunal Regulations

At its meeting on 15^th December 2011, the Board approved minor amendments to the Disciplinary Tribunal Regulations to reflect the end of the BSB's jurisdiction over Inadequate Professional Service complaints. In addition, references to the "Complaints Committee" have been changed to "Professional Conduct Committee".
