Joint Advocacy Group statement on the judicial review of the Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates

A JAG spokesperson said:
"We are pleased that the judgment in the Judicial Review of the Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates enables us to continue with the Scheme, which is designed to protect members of the public who require criminal advocacy. The Bar Standards Board, Solicitors Regulation Authority and ILEX Professional Standards will now study the judgment carefully and review aspects of the scheme in line with the judgment where appropriate or necessary. We will make further announcements as soon as possible."
