Greatly increased numbers in prison and overcrowding mean prisoners" rights are as important as ever despite public prejudice and negative political attitudes. Prisoners have legitimate grievances. But to tackle them requires specialist legal knowledge. This course examines the main principles of prison law reviews avenues for redress and details procedures especially of disciplinary and parole hearings.
