Nigel Tomkins is an independent training and legal consultant. He is training consultant to APIL training and a fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and also the digest editor of JPIL. He is a working consultant with solicitors Freeth Cartwright LLP and has over 30 years experience as a specialist personal injury lawyer. John McQuater is Partner and Head of Personal Injury Department at Atherton Godfrey, Fellow of APIL and a member of the Law Society Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Panels. He was elected on the APIL Executive Committee in 2005 and became Vice President in 2008. He is a member of the Editorial board of JPIL and an author of the APIL series guide published by Jordan’s.
