Pupillage Checklists

Information on pupillage checklists

Checklists are intended to assist pupils and pupil supervisors by indicating threshold standards that should be covered in a pupillage in specific types of practice. You are required to sign a declaration at the end of your pupillage to certify that you have completed the items set out in the checklist to the best of your ability. Your pupil supervisor is also required to certify that you have completed the appropriate checklist conscientiously and accurately before you can be issued with a provisional or full practising certificate. It is therefore essential that you consult with your pupil supervisor about how the checklist will be used to plan and monitor your progress during pupillage.

On completion of your pupillage, you must submit a copy of your check list to the Bar Standards Board, together with a copy of certificate of satisfactory completion of pupillage.

The checklists are available from the Checklists Download page in this section.
